Maitri Breathwork™

“Maitri” is Sanskrit for unconditional loving kindness towards oneself and others

Maitri Breathwork™ is a transformative process and healing modality that combines the power of breath, evocative, cross-cultural music, healing herbs and hands-on bodywork in a sacred mediumistic setting to assist participants in entering a non-ordinary state of consciousness through their own breath, to integrate healing into their daily lives!

Where did Maitri Breathwork™ come from

Developed by Jyoti and Russell Park, PhD in alignment with the well known Dr. Stanislav Grof and wife Christina Grof who was an author, teacher, artist, psychotherapist, founder of the Spiritual Emergence Network, and co-creator of Holotropic Breathwork. She was past-president of Grof Transpersonal Training, vice-president emeritus of the International Transpersonal Association (ITA), and an advisor to the board of the Spiritual Emergence Network.

What is the technique of Maitri Breathwork™

Individuals use a simple breathing technique to enter a non-ordinary state, exploring inner realms, allowing access to healing states of consciousness to explore inner realms and support healing for mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of being. Release, re-patterning, and receiving allow one to navigate daily life with more fluidity, ease, and personal power, while receiving support from trained facilitators with hands on bodywork.  Often imagery and insight emerge, creating opportunities for transformation and healing.

How will I benefit from a Maitri Breathwork™ session in a group environment?

Our day will consist of an opening circle; we will then work with a partner and have the first breathing session, then a light lunch, followed by another breathing session, dinner, and a closing circle. Each person experiences Breathwork as both a Breather and a Sitter. We invite you to join us in discovering a world within, accessible by breath, to lead the way to freedom of expression, personal empowerment, and health. Often imagery and insight emerges, creating opportunities for transformation and healing. Maitri Breathwork completes with mandala artwork, a light meal and personal reflection.
